This policy explains what The Independent Advantage does with your personal information.

WHO WE ARE

The Independent Advantage Ltd, company number 16743037, registered at 24-26 Regent Place, Birmingham, England, B1 3NJ. You can reach us at rob@theindependentadvantage.co.uk.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you take a scorecard. Your name, your email address, and your answers to the fifteen questions.

When you book a session. Your name, email address and anything you tell us in the booking form. Payment is taken by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.

When you subscribe to the newsletter. Your name and email address.

When you visit the site. Basic analytics about pages visited and how you arrived. Nothing that identifies you personally.

WHAT WE DO WITH IT

We use your details to send you your score and report, to arrange and deliver sessions you have booked, and to send you The Independent Advantage if you have asked for it.

We may use anonymised and aggregated scorecard responses to produce and publish industry benchmarks. No individual or company is ever identified in anything we publish.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

OUR LAWFUL BASIS

For sending your score and delivering a session you have booked, the basis is performing a contract with you.

For marketing emails, the basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box and can withdraw at any time.

For improving what we do, including the benchmarks, the basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the market we work in. This only ever uses anonymised and aggregated data.

WHO PROCESSES YOUR DATA FOR US

ScoreApp, for the scorecards and the contact records. Cal.com and Stripe, for bookings and payments. Beehiiv, for email. LinkedIn, if you subscribe to the newsletter there, in which case LinkedIn holds that relationship rather than us. Each of these is a separate company with its own privacy policy.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Scorecard responses and contact details are kept for three years from your last interaction with us, then deleted. Booking and payment records are kept for six years, as required for tax purposes. Anonymised and aggregated data has no identifying information in it, so it is kept indefinitely.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email or by replying.
